Crows/ravens have special meaning for Colin Walbridge: "If I want something or make plans for something and it is not meant to be, they caw like mad. Seem to come from miles around and tell me that it won't happen and if I press and go ahead and do it, it's gonna suck.

And then there is Lala. Lala showed up when I lost a beloved pet and my mother in two weeks' time. Lala is the sound she makes. Never heard a singing crow, but Lala sings. She would follow me all around, very dear and loving, it seemed. After a year or so she showed up less and less until she wasn't around at all.

Then, two weeks ago, she showed up, singing away. It was at a time when my remaining family seemed to be in flux - weird stuff. Lala cheered me up and made me blissfully happy. I wish she would stay around more - very comforting. But she did come at the perfect moment."
